It is very important to make sure the friend or family member you have chosen feels really comfortable with officiating at your wedding. Sometimes when the idea of getting deputized for the day to officiate a wedding comes up, it seems like a great idea, really fun and wonderful!

But then when it comes to living in the reality of this big decision it is a whole different thing. Again, I get lots of calls the week of the wedding because that friend had cancelled on them. This is a huge commitment and really needs to be considered very seriously.
